1.  So what do the people there think about the Olympics?
Actually I didnt know it was going on that is how big it is here haha They don't care to much about it besides the English Ward

2.  What was your favorite things about this week?
My Favorite things this week well this is how my week went:
So first was the District meeting which was really good...I really enjoyed it and I had fun.  We also bought a speaker for the house so we can listen to some tunes as we work out and are getting ready. After that we had the junta de los nuevos which is always fun because first we  are in President's house and second we get to help the new missionaries learn more and grow and do an evaluation on them to see how they are progressing. I got to see Elder Bradley there because he is training and it was great to see him and to talk with him.  I had a blast. We made waffles and I ate three of the big huge waffles ...they were so good.  I was full for the rest of the day though haha

After that day we got back really late to the offices and we were tired but President had us go to the hospital because there was an Hermana missionary that was having surgery and so we gave her a blessing.  As soon as we were done the medicine kicked it and she was acting really weird it was so funny haha.  Then the next day we went back to see how she was doing and to bring them food because they were starving... so we brought them some food!!!
After that we cleaned the office and got all the junk out and so now it is our office.

Saturday we got out and taught a family that we found and it went really well.  The family is a great family and we hope that they can progress!!! The bad part was that they didn't come to church on Sunday so that was a little worrying but we will call them and see what happened. 

Sunday we had a great day at church.  I really felt the spirit speak to me as I was in tune with everything that was being said.  It was a great class.  After we ate with the Players.  They are great.  They are from California and Oklahoma and they have a great family and their story is really cool!!!!

That was my week and today we had our training and then after the training i taught all the Zone Leaders how to win at basketball as I did amazing and beat them all haha.  The bad part was I got a blister on my foot for playing in my church shoes so I guess that was my pay back.  Anyways that was my week... a good week!!!
No we didnt get any cheesecake when we went to the Cheesecake Factory because I didn't want to order food, but President did say that we could have done it I just didn't want to be there to eat...I just wanted to help the guy.

Yeah last week was a blast and I really enjoyed it.  It makes me sad that I won't be there again for baseball:( I have been missing it more and more.   Its sad that I wont be apart of that again. I loved those times to go down to St George and play ball and have fun.  It was a blast!

Well I appreciate the email Mom.  Time is winding down for me and its weird.  I don't know how I feel about it.  I am loving life here but also you will get to see the fam.... its a mix of emotions but I will just go into it with a smile and ride out my last few months working hard and not thinking to much about it.

I love you Mom and I hope that everything goes well in the tournament and that they do good!!!!​

February 5, 2018~"Happiness Comes From Living the Way the Lord Wants You to Live and From Service to God and Others"~Thomas S. Monson

Yeah I could have gotten sick because we don't sleep much which is alright because we are helping but when its cold and you don't sleep its not the best combination.Ha yeah its simple but some missionaries don't know how to run something complicated so we "dumbed" it up for them.
You are lucky with the weather.  It is starting to warm up and I will finish my mission riding off into the sunset with some nice weather hahah.  That sounds good about  the school plans.  Its weird that I will be going to college soon even though I'm not looking forward to that... but its alright

This week we had Consejo (counsel) which was pretty good. I got to speak about a change of heart and how we can have this change of heart.  I tied it into a puzzle with sometimes we are missing that one piece to complete the puzzle and sometimes as missionaries we have that missing piece as well but if we change are hearts and come to the Lord we are able to complete the picture/puzzle and are able to see clearly what God has in store for us.

After that we had a Zone Conference and well it was good.  We did like a "shark tank" thing but you had to sell items that we use as missionaries.  It was fun and you had to think outside the box on the importance and the why of the item.  It was a great activity 

Later in the week we got a call from President while we were in the offices.  He asked us if we could do him a favor and as his secretaries we are more then willing to do anything.  He asked us if we could go to Cheesecake Factory at 11 oclock at night to give a waiter that had waited on them that same day a blessing.  He was going through a rough time.  So we were in the offices till 1030 and then we took Uber to go there.  We met the guy and he talked to us.  We listened for about 30 minutes and then he accepted our offer to giving him a blessing and we gave him a blessing there in the mall in more of a private place.  The good part was there were not a lot of people because it was 11 oclock at night.  After the blessing we gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would read it. Now he doesn't live in our Mission so we don't know a lot on how he is doing but first things first... the back story behind this was crazy. So first thing was that day was the day that President gave us Books of Mormon to write our testimonies in. What scripture did I put in??? 2 Nephi 22:2 God is my salvation I will trust and not be afraid for God is my strength and my song and he has also become my salvation. So a very comforting scripture.   After that President and his wife were going to go to another restaurant but it was busy so instead the went to  Cheesecake Factory and guess who waited on them for the 6th time??? Thomas. and who happened to have a Book of Mormon with them with a scripture that was already in it with a testimony.... and we just happened to be in the offices when President called ...and we happened to be in the right place at the right time and that just doesn't happens but rather God loves his children and he helps them through his servants and we were able to see the power of God comfort somebody... the Book of Mormon be a comfort to him.... to be an instrument in the hands of the Lord and to be able to see the plan that God has for us in this life.  It is crazy how it all worked out and how we were so ready in that moment and that is because God knows each and everyone of us and he cares for us and he wants us to return to him and we were able to help someone do that.  Even though Thomas doesn't see it as clearly as we do we can testify that it is true... that God does love us and he has a plan for all of us.

That was our spiritual experience for this week.  It was a great week and we finished it cleaning out the office and making it look good. Also we got to have All you can eat pancakes at Ihop for 49 pesos.  It was awesome!!!!

January 29, 2018~"No Matter What, We Always Have Worth in the Eyes of Our Heavenly Father"

~HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ELDER CLEVERLY~

1.  Are you going to be doing anything for your birthday?  Did you get my package?  

yeah I did get it... today actually haha!  I love it!... its a good package!!!!!

Yeah its crazy that I am 20... its hard to think that.  Thats cool that Kaelyn won!!!!

So this week was a good week and also a lot of work because my Comp had to do the close (the close is closing the three mission accounts every month its a pain) we were going going going but some highlights for this week were:

I made our website you can check it out.  Staying up till 11 every night to finish up the close...I was super tired. 

I got sick on Thursday so I haven't had a great health week!!! 

We drank a lot of coke because we were tired and to stay up we would drink coke haha... thats the video.  We didn't have cups.We also ordered some Mitekate which are burritos and they are huge and we ate two each!  After that I went to migracion to get my green card and I saw Tio Avila there haha.  You like my sweatshirt??? I got it made. 

Also we had an activity in Castorena and I contacted like over 300 people... it was awesome!!!!  I can't really remember if there is anything else so I will close with that.  I'm having a good birthday and I am loving life.....Living the dream!!!!​

January 22, 2018~"If We Look to the World and Follow its Formulas for Happiness, We Will Never Know Joy"

1.  We got a new Prophet.  What are thoughts on all of it?  
It was cool how they explained how the system works and who will be the new prophet and I sustain the new prophet...Nelson
He is in great shape!

Yeah the transfers are going fast and I have 5 months left.... that is crazy Mom!!!  There were 9 new missionaries that came but there are going to be more...yeah we are early risers!  Elder Jacobsen is awesome!  He went to BYU before the mission.    He and I get a long so well.  Yeah it will be my last birthday here so I hope its good.  I'm excited for my birthday!!!!

This week was nothing too exciting... just the normal work in the offices but it has been a blast going with Elder Jacobsen.  He is a great guy and we have had some fun. He is stressed because he hasn't been trained so I have tried to help him but its a little difficult so we are going through it one day at a time.   The airport went well except that one Hermana missed her flight so her fam was a little upset and well she was crying.   Nothing else after that just looking forward to my birthday!!!! I love you Mom!!!

January 15 2018~ "Live Your Life to be a Good Example of What You Believe~Robert D. Hales

Yeah its good and we are doing great here. It was fun to go work a little bit so I was super excited. The sports was fun but I was hurting so bad after that I couldn't walk for like three days because I was in pain.

Thats too bad that yours wasn't fun because mine wasn't super crazy but its not boring.

So this week we have been working hard to get all the new missionaries ready to get here and we got everything ready to go.  We found out that I was going to get a new companion so I am with Elder Jacobsen.  He is from Montana and is super cool.  We are going to get along super well because we have the same interests.  Its cool to be with him and it was rough his first day which was today because he had to wake up early like 4 oclock to go to the airport and we just barely got back from Pres house due to the meeting we had with the new missionaries and tomorrow is going to be worse because we are going to the airport again haha.  It will be alright.  He will get used to this life we have here in the offices haha... but anyway I don't have much left to say besides that so I love you Mom and hope things are well!!!

January 8, 2018~"The Service that Counts the Most is usually Recognized by God Alone"~ Michael T. Ringwood

1.  We thought your Living Christ was cool.  I printed it off so I can frame it.  That was a pretty neat idea.  How did it go with sharing it at Consejo?
​It went well.  At the beginning I shared the story about Tyler and always fighting to the finish and then a little later... after I got a little emotional when I talked about the Living Christ... yeah I know I'm a baby. But it went well and I'm glad I got to help the mission feel something.

That sounds fun going to Rush and playing all those games!!!
That is the dumbest thing ever him trying to get out of paying by giving fake info...I'm not the biggest fan of liars.

Yes President Monson was a great guy and when we got the news we sang we Thank Thee O God for a Prophet....my Comp and I and the APs and then we listened to some of his last and famous words. It was powerful

So this week was kind of different and I will tell you why.  So on Monday we worked in the office because it would have been easier to do that then to have P- day so we worked here in the office and got everything worked out and then on Tuesday we had Consejo and that is where I shared my talk.   That was a fun day because we are really picking things up here in the mission.  We are starting to make some movement in the right direction and its awesome to be part of that so that I can be able to help this mission fly.

On  Wednesday we took P- day and we went up to Castorena to spend the day there and well we played monopoly and we got to go with some members there that are really awesome and have been since I was in that area.   At night we did divisions with the APs and I worked with Elder Lipscomb.  We got to go see a family that me and Elder Bonner found that got baptized and it was cool because we were the first ones to find them and they got baptized and so it was a blessing to see that my work paid off even if I wasn't in that area anymore. They thanked me for finding them which that was cool to hear!!!

On Thursday we got a call from Pres. saying that an Elder got a third degree strain and that he will be going to the hospital and he will be with us for a week.  The Elder will be with us till next week.  His name is Elder Allen....so on Friday we were in the hospital for a while to do that but we did get to cut the Rosca and we had great breakfast there... it was good.  On Saturday we went to the airport to drop off an Hermana that was going home and we had to wake up super early.  We ate at Toks and then President let us go home and sleep for a little bit before we got on to the rest of the day.  On Sunday I don't know if you received a foto but we ate with that family... a great family from the ward and then we got back to the office and we found out the power was out and we had lots to do so we worked on our phones and got something done and then we went to Pres house and finished the rest.  Today we had an Elders Conference and there we played a tournament of sports and I was playing like a beast as usual... it was way fun!!!!!

So that was my week and this week we are going to be super busy because we got the new people coming in and I got to get that meeting set up and ready to go so we have a nice smooth meeting!!!!

January 1, 2018~ "Happy New Year"

1.  The dates that you put for baptism...did any of those go through?
They haven't been to church but it might be because of the holidays 

2.  How was Christmas Day?  How was Coco?
Christmas was good.   We went with some members and had cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy.  We played a bunch of games so it was super fun!!!  Coco was a great movie.  We watched it in Spanish and I say its better in Spanish because you can see the culture....o thats good that I can understand it.  I recommend it. 

3.  Did you enjoy getting to see everyone here together? 

Yeah it was cool..Didn't really get to talk to everyone but thats fine... I'll talk to them more when I am there haha

6.  Are you doing anything for New Years Day?

We stayed up last night and watched fireworks and we also let lanterns off with President... nothing besides that because we got consejo (counsel) tomorrow

Its always good to see you guys!  The horse race is actually really fun and its cool to watch !!!  I heard that Star Wars is a good movie.  We see the advertisements all the time.  Thats cool about the movies.  I love movies haha.  Is there no snow???  Thats too bad aobut the car.  Hope everything comes out ok.

Yeah my last birthday here...  My last everything here... how sad.
I don't have anything that I really want... just candy haha but if there is something you think of, send it on down.  Maybe something that I have in the house that I left that you think I could use... I don't know... my mind is blank

My week hasn't been too crazy.  Just mainly here in the offices and well on Christmas Day we spent the day at the family's house and then went to presidents house and we watched the movie Coco.  President gave us permission to watch it there without him there.

On New Years Eve we stayed up and ate tamales and lit lanterns off and then we went to bed... nothing crazy.  Tomorrow we are having consejo (counsel) and I will be talking about my Living Christ that I made and also about F2TF (fight 2 the finish)... so it should be good.  I attached the Living Christ I made so you can read it as well as a couple fotos.  I love you Mom and hope you guys have a good year!!!
