1. What kind of stores are there in your area?
Well there are tiendas everywhere but the big stores are adidas, Garcias and like a small sams club looking store.
2. Do you have a regular church building or do you meet in a different building?
We have a casa de oracion so its not a church... its like an apartment but its nice
3. So it rains everyday??
Yes everyday... usually at night or early in the morning
4. How many people do you think are in your Branch?
So there are 60 members but only 35 people were at church and thats including the missionaries. The little kids are the Presidency.... its small
5. Do you get fed meals or are you on your own for most of them?
We get fed lunch and eat cereal for breakfast and quesadillas for dinner.
6. Do you have to do your own laundry or do you pay someone to do it?
We pay someone.
This is the address for packages: avenida fuente de las pirámides no.1 lomas de tecamachalco c.p. 53950 naucalpan, edo. de méxico, méxico
I heard about Stock and Kae... at least they are doing good. I know Jake's pain haha, but he plays which is always fun. Its cool seeing friends serving missions...its a good thing I'm not missing anything. So Ixtapan is where we live... well actually we live in San Pedro. but thats the hermanas area so we have to go out to our area. We have the Colonials outside, they are pregeso, 10 de Agosto, 5 de Febrero, 3 de Mayo, Teco, and Tonatico. Tonatico is the biggest of them but no people there. We spend most of our time in 10 de Agosto but there is like no one and we don't have any other Colonial better than that. We teach a lot of lessons but that is it. The people disappear or they don't want anything from us. Yes there is a water park....thats our area. The District goes to Tenancingo so our District is big. We work hard and get 70 contacts a week, and we did 25 yesterday and it was exhausting haha. I taught English on Saturday and Tuesday we had a meeting and I got to talk to Eld. Edwards and it was fun talking to him. We got a pouch with all our supplies and I was dying after that... it was not fun. The language is a killer but I'm trying. Its just hard to understand. The Atonement and missionary work is a talk ...its on youtube.... we listen to it everyday and to EFY music because President changed the rules. This week we are going to try to get people to church because we didn't get anyone this last week. We found an alacran (Scorpion) in our house... it was crazy... and we have a puppy. On Saturday we had a mexican night!!! Alright got to go...Love Ya Bye!!

September 5, 2016~ "If You Want to Give a Light to Others...You have to Glow Yourself"
1. How long has Elder Reynoso been out on the Mish?
~This is his last tranfer
2. So when you say your area is new, does it mean a new area no one has taught in or new area meaning it was closed for awhile and now open again?
~Its reopened
3. Are you and Elder Reynoso the only missionaries in Ixtapan or are there others?
~There are hermanas and the Senior Missionaries
4. Is it a Ward or Branch in your area?
~Branch
5. How long did it take you to get to your area from the MTC? Did you go in a Van?
~We went to Presidents house which was an hour and then 2 and a half from there. To President's house we took a van but then you ride in taxis and le buses.
Yeah my group was the biggest group. Elder Reynoso is sweet and I write in my journal every day but they are short so I won't need a new one.
So this week has been a lot of talking with people. We contact a lot because there are not a lot of investigators but thats fine.... contacting is fun. I can talk to them and they understand me, I just can't understand them haha. I invited three families to get baptized and they said yes which was sweet. This place is sweet but we have to walk and take taxis everywhere. I don't have a lot of pictures because it rains everyday so I will get some later. Sunday was good till after church... its aweful because you have to contact and there is no one, but this week was good. This next week we need to get people to church which is hard because no one wants to or they work on Sundays. Lessons are fun its just hard to understand what they are saying haha. Well thats my week...got to go. Talk to you next week. Tell everyone I love them!!!
~Love Elder Cleverly
P.S. Hey, so sending pictures is like a no go where I am because its so slow. I will try to find another place... in the meantime you might not get pictures. We are going to a different one next time because the other one was closed today

August 31, 2016- Left the MTC
Elder Ryan left the MTC Monday August 29th and we were not sure we were going to hear from him this week, but Today we were able to receive this short email from him giving a few details until next Monday. His P-Day will now be on Mondays.
My companion is Elder Reynoso. He is from Tampico, Mexico.
My first stop is Ixtapan. Glad things are going good and I heard about the dog haha. Things are different being out of the MTC. I don't understand a lot but yesterday in the streets we were talking with people and it was fun. We talked with 14 people because it is a new area and we don't have anybody to teach yet so we had to start fresh but it was awesome. My companion is Latino but he speaks perfect English so it is good. The MTC was rough the last week because of so many classes but I'm glad I'm out. I got to talk to Gav and Logan before I left so that was good. My P- day is Monday so I will email then...Let everyone know. My Mission Pres is sweet and most of the missionaries are cool. The food is delicious and my house is big. I will send you pictures next week of Ixtapan and my area. Nothing really more to say because I have been one day in the field but I will have more next time. Talk to you next week love ya!!!

August 25, 2016~ "You Only Fail When you Stop Trying"
1. Did you get the "TREATS" I sent last week? I used that company that you told me about...just hope you got the items haha.
yeah I got it ...thank you I love it!!!
2. Did you understand the Temple better this last visit then the first one?
I did. It was better and more spiritual... not a big group
3. Did you see Logan?
Yeah I saw Logan haha
4. Do you write in your journal?
I write in my journal everyday
5. So are you nervous about leaving the MTC?
I'm a little nervous cause its hard understanding Spanish but I hear it is good
These past couple of days haven't been too good sleeping so I'm going to take some of the melantonin and see if it helps. Yeah I have been helping Gav out till I leave then its his turn to help everyone else out hahha. I take notes, not a lot but just of important stuff.
The hair cut looks good now but it wasn't that good.... you are better at cutting my hair haha. She only does the hair one way so you don't get to decide.
That's my favorite quote out of that quote book Kai gave me. I look through it for quotes... its good. A lot of our teachers went to the school before it turned into a CCM and they tell us all about it.
I heard about the game...Ethan and Dad told me. Dad told me about Brock getting to go to the Arizona~BYU game.. he is lucky but if they lose he can't go to anymore games.
I am glad you got my Baseball Region Champ shirt. Gav told me he never got it so I was nervous I wasn't going to get it.
Kae says its fun being at school. That will be weird without the trees. So many things are going to change while I'm gone.
Haha I knew you would go to lunch with Elder Edwards mom lol.
So my week has been normal but on Sunday we got some great devotionals and watched about the stone cutter which is super cool. Monday we watched a video The Hope of Gods Light which was super good. All the friends me and Elder Edwards ball with left so we can't play basketball anymore. Tuesday and Wednesday rained super hard and all day. Its crazy so much rain. For TRC yesterday we taught a returned missionary and it was a super awesome lesson. I understood everything he said and it was sweet. He said my Spanish is really good. We also taught a different District and they were in awe of our Spanish and Testimonies we shared. They liked it and really felt the spirit. It made me really happy to know what I am doing is paying off. Next my companion was sick so I got to give him a blessing and now he is feeling way better which is awesome to see the power of the priesthood. Other then that nothing special. We are suppose to be doing a lot of classes Friday because we have to get ready for the field. People say its fun so hopefully. Nothing really else about my week.... just another week on the mish and last week in the MTC. Can't wait to get out and see how the real mission is. Oh I got some scripture cases which are sweet too!!!
Love ya and will talk to you I think it is not this Monday but the next Monday for my p-day, nos vemos!!!!
yeah I got it ...thank you I love it!!!

August 18, 2016~"The Only Person you should try to be better than, is the Person you were Yesterday"
1. So have you been sleeping okay?
~I sleep great which is good.
2. Do you play any other sports besides Basketball? I guess you probably miss spikeball.
~I sometimes play volleyball... and I totally miss spikeball that was the best!!!
3. Do they have chocolate milk for you?
~The chocolate milk isn't that good here which is disappointing
4. Are there just 2 sisters in your District? Sister Ames's mom has spoken to me a few times.
~yeah there are only two, hermana ames, and hermana mortenson
5. Will you get to go to the temple again before you leave?
~We go to the temple today!!!
Yeah I helped Gav all week. He struggled the first week like we all did but he is all good now. I wouldn't mind another package;)
Well the tamales they feed in the CCM are watered down and have the nasty sauce built into it so I bet out in the field they are better
The office missionaires in my mission were sweet. I am totally going to get a nike bag when I am out.
Logan emailed me and I can't wait to see him this next week.
I miss the social part of school but the school part nah haha
Kae told me about tryouts....that's awesome she made it but doesn't surprise me... She is a Cleverly
Tell Stock Happy Birthday. He didn't email me so I couldn't tell him that.
So my week now.... so my week has blurred together and so its hard to remember what all has happened but I will try to tell you all the important stuff. So on Sunday we got to watch the story of John Tanner. It was so good. After we watched the video of Christ and the week he died and everything he went through and it was so sad. I felt for him. On Tuesday we had a great devotional...me and Elder Poll sat together and sang in the choir lol. It was good to have a conversation with him talking about the good old times. On Wednesday I watched this video about the Atonement and Missionary work. Its a mormon message and if you have a chance to watch it I recommend it. The spirit was so strong during it. After I taught this good lesson about obedience... it was so cool. Today we are going to the temple again. I'm excited so I'll send you pics of that. Oh! I also got a hair cut hahaha... the lady isn't the best but I'm not trying to impress any latinos haha. ...so thats my week. Also I want to let you off with this quote....
This is the beginning of a new day. God has given us this day to use as we will. You can waste it or use it for good, but what you do today is important, because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that you have traded for it. You want it to be gain, and not loss. Good and not evil. Success and not failure in order that you shall not regret the price that you have paid for it.
Love ya Mom!!!

I'm working hard haha. I forgot to tell you that we had p day on Friday this week oops. but we had it today cause we got our visas today and the place is in my mission so it was cool to see the place and we talked to missionaries that are in that area because they were in the area. They were sweet. I will get to see them in two weeks because they work in the office. ...but they are so cool. Honestly can't wait to get out. They told us we need to work hard, open our mouths and walk fast. Also they say the mission president is sweet. We actually saw his wife there too haha. We can wear backpacks so when I get out I will get a backpack because I can hold more stuff. Can't wait to go except for the fact that we had TRC and it is when real people from outside the walls come in and listen and it was hard to understand them but it went well. I can't wait till I will be able to... in the mean time I'lll keep working at it. On Sunday we watched Meet the Mormons... it was sweet and on Tuesday we watched a live broadcast from the Provo MTC and I saw Renee and Justin there on the broadcast... it was cool. Me and Gav talked about it after haha. Nothing else besides me and Elder Edwards are balling it up. I'm woking hard, feeling the spirit and I sing a lot like in the class room, in the casa, everywhere haha... its good to enjoy what you are doing because when you enjoy it you get good experiences. I love ya Mom... talk to ya next week!!!

We play basketball together and have a good time throughout the day. Yes it is different than school haha but it feels like school. The language~I'm getting some of it down but I got a long way to go. I know a lot more then when I got in here. I can teach a whole lesson in spanish but its understanding the teachers and investigators thats the hard part. but I'm pushing through and having fun doing it. I'm one of the top of my class but still not the best haha. Our whole District are friends except the zone leaders in my room haha ...they are a bit much but thats alright. I was way nervous but all my District helped me out... it was sweet. I got to be apart of another blessing... one on Tuesday which was sweet. You are lucky...I would die for some ice cream right now haha. I need some American Food. Yeah I figured Gav left this next week cause I didn't see him this week. Oh Dax Cheshire is here and Dallin Watts and then a friend of Mckenna and Charly Elder Bankhead. He said he was good friends with both. Thats suprising Stockon passed his driving haha. Let me know what his schedule is like and tell him to work hard. Thanks Mom. Can't wait to hear from ya next week love ya!!!
